8 Week Workout Plan
What is an 8-week workout plan?
An 8-week workout plan is a structured training block that is long enough to drive meaningful strength and muscle adaptation but short enough to maintain focus and motivation. This 4-day program uses a push/legs/pull/legs structure that hits every muscle group twice per week with built-in progression.
How does the 8-week progression work?
Start with weights you can handle for the upper end of the rep range, such as 3 sets of 12. Add load each week as reps decrease to 3x10, 3x8, then 3x6. Week 5 resets with slightly heavier weights at higher reps, creating a second wave of progression through the block.
What happens after the 8-week plan?
After completing the 8 weeks, take a deload week training at 60 percent of your normal weights before starting a new training block. This planned recovery allows your body to consolidate gains and prepares you for the next phase of training. Most lifters can run several 8-week blocks back to back with deloads between them.
